CASTANER
Tradition and innovation have been the main values of Castañer since its creation in 1927. The dynamic family business has always kept ahead of trends, and has been a long-time favourite of fashion lovers with fans including Grace Kelly, Jacky Kennedy or blogger Leandra Medine. The love story between Castañer and designer fashion took a decisive turn in 1970, when the brand created the first wedge espadrilles for Yves Saint Laurent. Since then, the Spanish firm has never stopped collaborating with fashion's best designers. In 2004, the brand launched two of their signature models: Carina and Pablo, one wedge and one flat espadrille, available in a wide range of colours. Timeless and durable, Castañer espadrilles are made in Spain in high quality natural fabrics. Their jute outsoles have been braided on the same machine for a century. Handstitched, they feature a rubber outsole to last longer and be worn several summers.
