Created in 1952 in Paris, the Givenchy couture house invented the concept of casual chic. Following the steps of Balenciaga, founder Hubert de Givenchy designed refined dresses, gracefully worn by his muse Audrey Hepburn. He created the little black dress she wore in "Breakfast at Tiffany's”. He revolutionized women's fashion with iconic creations such as the balloon coat, the shirt dress and the sack dress. In 2005, Riccardo Tisci became Givenchy's new creative director. He boldly revisited the brand's legacy by combining minimalistic designs with modern details, making them more than desirable. In 2017, former Chloé-designer Clare Waight Keller took over from him to manage the venerable house.
